This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a newer teacher, I have been trying to build my collection of classroom books so that I can do a daily read-aloud for my students. Reading to my kindergarten class is so important for modeling good reading and building their comprehension skills. It is always one of the best parts of the day that my class looks forward to. They love to make predictions and discuss parts of the books. I would use these books for years to come and my students now and later would benefit from them.
