This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My scholars are an energetic group of kids who have a passion for learning. They are on their individual journeys to college and give their education their all, to make sure they succeed.

Scholars in my class are passionate young learners ready to explore the world through hands-on experiences.

I try and it make it my personal mission, each year, to ensure that my scholars experience as many opportunities as possible.

Being such young minds, my kindergartners are eager to learn literacy and mathematics through the use of games and activities that will get them moving around the classroom, working in partnerships, and exploring with hands-on experiences during Center Time, which occurs daily in our classroom.

My Project

These materials will help my scholars become more independent learners; through learning how to self manage their time with silent, illuminating timers and a large self-organizing storage unit! I would love to help support my little 5/6 year old kindergarten scholars by teaching them how to manage their time and also organize their papers into individual mailboxes. Scholars will learn to take ownership of their own papers and packing up their individual backpacks and folders. These skills are so important for young children to learn to ensure that they grow into successful, organized young learners, teens, and adults! These skills will last a lifetime!
