My Students

My students are so unique in their own special way. The students in my class come from a very rough part of Brooklyn. Despite the many challenges they face every day, they come to school with smiles on their faces.

My students are very happy kids who love having a great time and learning new things.

They enjoy reading, dancing, singing, exploring their environment, and going on fun trips. Most of my students live in single family homes or foster care. I try my best to make every moment count in the classroom. Together we are learning it's the small things that count the most and make the biggest difference!

My Project

My students inspire me to become a better educators as well as better people. Despite their struggles, they are always smiling and eager to learn. Due to the pandemic, many of my students were not in person and did not have many opportunities to write or use writing supplies. Many are not able to hold the thinner pencils properly. These supplies will help them keep the pencils properly. They will also be used to help improve their handwriting.

We are currently running low on supplies in the classroom.

We need pencils, a sharpener for the more giant pencils, pencil grips and copy paper. My job as the teacher is to ensure that my students are learning by differentiating the materials and lessons. When determining, I use a lot of writing, creating different versions of the assignments for my students. The copy paper will also allow me to print resources for the classroom and at home to help them practice penmanship. The folders will allow them to keep their resources and tools organized.
