My Students

This year's kinder crew really really loves to listen to a good book. Just watching those eyes, ears and brains get ready to devour our read aloud books makes me want to create a classroom book from scratch.

I have some amazing kindergarten artists and writers who are ready and willing to take on this challenge.

My Project

The materials that were selected will make a huge difference in the composition of our book. Our mixed media book project will use student and teacher photographs, student illustrations as well as student generated story lines (that will be edited by the teacher).

The exploration of various illustration, writing and photography styles will help my kindergarteners become awesome authors.

This fun and creative hands-on book project will help to satisfy our districts learning outcome of participating in a shared research and writing project -CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.K.7. Since our district has been toggling between virtual and in-person learning, this project can be completed in either learning environment.
