My Students

One of the biggest challenge in teaching is to differentiate and present lessons in a way that are engaging and effective. Having an Elmo in the classroom for the children of diverse abilities—and diverse learning style will bring excitement into learning and provide a leap in technology.

My kindergarten students come to class eager and ready to learn.

I have special need students with visual impairments and students without much of basic skills prior to kindergarten. Technology in my class is from 1980s. We have one computer in the the class that 25 students have to share. Although they are all excited to come to school, their little bodies don't always listen and focus. Displaying an object from the front of the class so that everybody can see is a challenge. "I can't see" is a phrase I hear all the time. ELMO will change the way we teach and the way children learn in 21 century.

My Project

Having the technology that ELMO provides would give equal access to what is being presented. ELMO will enlarge any images that is placed in front. Therefore, a small picture will becomes a big poster for everybody to see in detail. It works like a microscope where hairy caterpillar will come to life. It will give the students a new experience in education and an exciting ways to learn. Furthermore,ELMO document camera will allow students to present their work samples on a screen for all students to see. Not only will they share and gain self confidence, it will provide unlimited images to enhance the dice in math, living insects in science,notes in music, detailed illustration in art and visual enhancement in language art lessons. This will definitely help the English learners, special need students, and the visual learners in my class. All my squirmy little kindergarten bodies will focus their attention and become a motivated active participants.
