My Students

The biggest challenge in teaching is to differentiate and present lessons in a way that is engaging and effective. A projector for my ELMO document camera will engage children of diverse abilities — and diverse learning styles. This will bring excitement into learning and provide a leap into technology.

My kindergarten students come to class eager and ready to learn.

Although they are all excited to come to school, their little bodies don't always listen and focus. My daily challenges are to have all students attention and to provide them with equal visual access. A projector for the ELMO will give them a new experience in education and exciting ways to learn. Technology in my class is from the 1980s. We have one computer in the room that we all have to share. I have an overhead projector that sits in the corner without a bulb to replace it with. I hope to enhance my program with this new technology.

My Project

With the projector, the ELMO document camera can be used to zoom into small images, and project them onto the white board. This equipment will allow all students no matter where they sit an equal access to what is being presented in front of the class. From show and tell to visual presentation of a computer, the projector will give our students the technology of 21 century education. A projector with a document camera will allow students to present their work samples on a screen for all students to see. Not only will they share and gain self confidence, ELMO will provide unlimited images to enhance the math, science and visual art lessons in 3D. This will definitely help the second language learners, special need students and the visual learners in my class. With your help, all my squirmy little bodies in the class will focus their attention and become motivated active participants.

I hope to be able to expand and use updated technology in the classroom.

This learning tool will change the way children learn in the future. Please consider this project. Without the projector ELMO can't be used, and without the ELMO the projector can't be used.
