My Project

All students have been impacted by COVID-19 not only directly, but indirectly by family circumstances. To create a safe, loving environment where students can learn best, I will use many of the supplies on my wish list to co-create our space. This practice will allow for high engagement, ownership, and student agency.

Students will learn better and work together better in a space they helped to make.

We will use the alphabet sound learning tubs to co-create letter sound Thinking Maps which will tie into our Fundations phonics lessons. The do-a-dots, kwik stix, markers and flexible foam shapes, will be used to make number posters which will tie into our beginning number sense lessons. Additionally, the materials will be used to co-create the numerous anchor charts and Thinking Maps that will align with my whole group instruction. We plan to use the headphones for students who do not have their own pair to create equity on our ipads using creative, collaborative apps such as Seesaw or book creator.

The center activities like magna tiles, kinetic sand, alpha bots, playdoh, magnets, and CVC locks will be available in the tubs for student self-selection. These activities will be used thematically to enhance our learning though experience and collaborative play.
