My Students

Children in kindergarten are beginning to read and they need many beginning books in the classroom. My kindergarten kids need reading books on their own level. We call these books "just right" readers!

I teach 21 wonderful kindergarten kids in Coastal South Carolina.

My students come from diverse backgrounds and have many different needs. My students are all beginning as readers and they read on many different levels. We have many books in our classroom, but we need more "just right" readers.

My Project

I am requesting sets of leveled readers for my kindergarten kids. The books are leveled in their own bins from A through I. With children reading on so many different levels, each child will be able to find and read books that are "just right"! I want every child in my classroom to be excited about reading and feel successful. As each child progresses they can move up to the next level and find books that they can read independently.
