Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have been teaching for two years at a Title I school in Texas. I teach second grade students. My students are hard workers, imaginative, and unique. This school year is different because of the pandemic. I am teaching using the Hybrid model. I have 9 students in person in my classroom and I have 11 students learning virtually.

My Project

The materials that I'm requesting will make a huge difference in my kindergarten students' learning. I teach in a Title I school where most families are low-income. Therefore, my students can't bring the supplies that they need to success in class. Most of them only bring one notebook and sadly many students don't bring anything.

I have 20 students back in the classroom and each student needs to have at least 2 interactive notebooks one for math and one for reading.

By having all the necessary supplies my students will be able to learn fast and be active learning by cutting, glue, color, and write in their interactive notebooks.
