My Students

I have the ultimate pleasure of working with smart, enthusiastic and hardworking kindergarteners in a Title I NYC public school. Our school services a beautifully diverse group of children, who come to school ready to try new things in order to grow both personally and academically. I am so proud of our loving class, which is part of the ASD Nest program, an integrated approach to teaching both students on the autism spectrum and neurotypical learners.

As an ASD Nest Program school, we believe that our students learn best when the class adapts according to the needs of its the students.

I am looking forward to a school year filled with problem solving, learning and growth. I have no doubt that our group of young and insightful students will achieve wonderful things this year.

My Project

The materials I am asking for will significantly affect the way my students will learn over the next 10 months. With these tools, I will have the opportunity to send home a writing journal, crayons, as well as an interesting reading center. The reading center I have listed will allow for independence and success while my students are working from home. This will also provide my students with a activity away from the computer.

With a variety of learners in my class, I feel that these supplies will allow for creativity and growth during an uncertain time.

I look forward to the projects and writing pieces my students create. During remote learning, in the spring of 2020, I learned that students need more supplies at home. I appreciate your consideration in helping each of my students thrive during our time of blended learning.
