Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach kindergarten in a Title I school where the majority of the students have free lunch, come from low income households, and their primary language is not English. This makes reading, writing, math, science and social studies difficult for them.

Despite all these obstacles, my students come to the classroom full of enthusiasm, questions, joy and very eager to learn specially in the distance now that we officially are going distance learning for now.

My Project

This upcoming new school year 2020-2021 is going to be very different. Now we are in the urge to avoid spread germs at all costs. In my kindergarten classroom we tend to share materials because most of the parents of my school's neighborhood can't buy materials due to low income.

Due to Covid-19 pandemic, sharing materials is out of the question, help me get my kindergarten class some supplies to use in their homes while distance learning is in action.

They will receive a plastic box with pencils, eraser, glue, scissor, and a pouch mesh bag with crayons to use at home while "zooming" into learning.
