Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is Title I, at risk school, with a population of over 70% English Language Learners. My students come to school to laugh, learn, be loved, and to eat a healthy meal.

We provide 100% free breakfast and lunch for our students everyday.

We are working very hard to help the students accomplish their dreams, reach their goals, and most importantly, graduating from college and becoming successful. Kindergarten is the foundation that prepares kids for the rest their lives! Graduating class of 2038 here we come!

My Project

My students deserve to have a great school year after was considered the hardest school year every know. The books that I have requested will not only bring my students joy, but will also help them feel excited about reading. The pocket cubes will help me create engaging small group activities such as "sight word roll" and "letter roll". The anchor charts will help me give my students great visuals and help them enhance the learning environment. Unfortunately COVID-19 has impacted schools negatively in many ways. One of the things students and teachers must do is wear a mask to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The Cricut will help me provide my students with fun and creative mask designs to encourage the use of face masks in the classroom. This will help my kindergarten students love their masks and keep them on at all times. The pocket charts will help me display curriculum in a clean manner. As we all know, students all around the world lost a full year of education. That is a full year of creativity put on hold. The caddy's will help keep my students supplies organized and near them when they need them. The shelf will help me organize the books in order for the students to have a library section in our classroom. This will encourage the students to love reading and find joy in reading a new book. Lastly, the fidget toys will help my students focus in class and will help minimize distractions so everyone can have optimal learning.
