Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am lucky to be teaching my fourth year in kindergarten at a wonderful school. My students are eager 5-6 years olds, coming from a variety of backgrounds. They love to continually be engaged in the classroom!

My students work hard to achieve their goals.

When they complete their work, I want them to have enough materials to keep them focused and engaged throughout the day. They are excited and curious about learning, and I want to make sure I have the materials to foster their love of learning on a daily basis!

My Project

Every day, the students ask me if they can take home books from our classroom library. Often the library is being used for special events, so it has to be closed. To keep my students motivated and reading, I allow them to check out books from our classroom library. The books I requested allow them to continue their love of reading!

The Legos and Play-Doh will go in to our STEAM Bins, so the students can make creations using these materials.

The crayon sharpener will hopefully prevent so many crayons from being thrown away, and will help the students stay in the lines when they are coloring.
