This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Here, we are The Eagles and we are here to soar towards excellence. We are a small school tucked in the heart of Jacksonville, Florida, and deserve to shine. I’d like to provide for these students the best that I can. Our school motto is “expect success, nothing less” and I am here to help my student know what that means! Enriching their curriculum will enrich their education and overall their futures!

My Project

This project is solely for improving and enriching the kindergarten curriculum. With this funding, a new curriculum will be provided to our school for kindergarten grade level and can be used across all kindergarten classes throughout this year and years to come.

An effective curriculum provides teachers, students, administrators and community stakeholders with a measurable plan and structure for delivering a quality education.

The curriculum identifies the learning outcomes, standards and core competencies that students must demonstrate before advancing to the next level. Teachers play a key role in developing, implementing, assessing and modifying the curriculum. An evidenced-based curriculum acts as a road map for teachers and students to follow on the path to academic success.
