This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My kindergarteners are from diverse backgrounds and include emerging English language learners that would benefit from having access to engaging decodable readers for all levels of readers. Students will access readers that include all phonemic awareness areas, including letter sounds, short vowels CVC, blends, digraphs, and long vowels with sight words. Teachers can use these readers in class in small groups. My kindergarteners can practice using these readers throughout the day in different ways: read them in centers, with partners or in small groups. These readers have engaging topics that kids will enjoy.
