My Students

My kinder friends are full of joy and enthusiasm as they embark on a voyage of learning and love. They work hard every day and try and try again! They know the meaning of perseverance and it inspires me to become the best version of myself that I can.

People say that everything you need to know you learn in kindergarten.

It is important to note that they have taught me a lot more than anything I could ever teach them.

My Project

A rug with well defined spaces are critical for teaching social skills along with academics in kindergarten. My students learn the importance of staying in their space while also working as a team.

The flexibility to have an individual space as well as a collaborative one is imperative in kindergarten social-emotional and academic learning.

My curriculum is highly collaborative and flexible. This carpet lends itself to a natural space where students can choose how to make it work best for their learning at any given time. We spend a lot of time talking about how and where we learn best. This carpet will lend itself well to those discussions throughout the year.
