This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do red frogs exist? That was a question one of my kindergarten student asked during a science lesson. This debate called for technology. Google here we come, but since I only have a desktop I had to call them in groups to see some of the different types of frogs. It took longer than expected.

My students are wonderful children.

I wish nothing but the best for them. I treat them like they are my own. They are always happy regardless of all the hurdles they have encountered in such a young age. In there everyday life they encounter gangs, graffiti, police helicopters hovering over their houses, and so much more. My class consist of 100% Latino. They all qualify for the free meal program since they are low income families.

My Project

My students will benefit greatly from a tablet. I wouldn't have to call them in groups of 5 to my desktop to see images and/or information. We would all be able to learn together. Monitoring there progress would be more manageable because I would be able to assess them on their table not on my desk. I would be able to take pictures of them and their projects with greater ease.

Disadvantaged students still deserve a high quality education.

Please help me give my students the opportunity to experience the wonderful things technology can provide from Google to learning Apps.
