Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are always creating different art projects in class. We use a variety of art materials as well as paint on our class easel. Students strengthen their fine motor skills through many coloring, cutting, painting, and gluing activities. Students can also make artwork to go with the literature we are reading in class. For example, they can paint pictures of the life cycle of a butterfly after reading “The Very Hungry Caterpillar.”

The drying rack will provide a safe, organized place to let students dry their artwork before it gets displayed on our classroom bulletin boards or sent home to share with families.

It will also provide the space needed to continue to implement more fun art activities in class. Students are so proud to see their artwork displayed around the classroom and when they can take their masterpieces home to share with their families, too!
