Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have the biggest hearts and so much love to share. My goal for my students would be for them to be reading by the end of the year. "We have two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak." ~Epictetus

In my classroom, there are 21 silly, lovable, smart kindergarten students that are ready to learn!

They have so much energy and excitement for school. A day in my classroom is never boring, there is always something fun while learning is going on. My school is one of the best schools I have ever worked at, actually it's the only school because it is so amazing. The relationships we develop with not only our students, but their families, show that we do care about each and every one of our students. I am so lucky to be a kindergarten teacher with these amazing students.

My Project

I am requesting 1 mobile listening center and 1 8-station junction box with volume controls. This listening center will do wonders in my classroom. Reading is obviously SO important and especially in kindergarten where they are just starting to learn. My students will be able to listen to your favorite stories, while listening to the reader read fluently. This will be part of our rotations called the listening center!

This listening center will make my classroom look and feel amazing!

This is the piece of the puzzle that is missing in my classroom. My students' lives will change because they will be able to listen and follow along to some of their favorite books, helping to improve their literacy skills.
