Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
Kindergarteners soak up learning like sponges! Help us soak up our academics using a digital art medium.
My students live in a very high poverty area.
They are eager to learn and have great enthusiasm about their futures. Our school serves students from PreK to 5th grade and is home to the only park for miles. Our school, children, and their families truly make up a great community.
My Project
My students need an iPad mini to practice academic concepts using the wide variety of art and technology applications such as Art of Glow. My students live in a very high poverty area. They do not have the opportunity to use the kinds of technologies that they will need to be comfortable with to become successful in their futures. This project will not only allow them the opportunity to learn new concepts with a tablet, but also prepare them for the future by teaching them about the variety of technologies out there.
Part of my job as a teacher is to prepare my students for the future that awaits them.
This project will put the future directly in their hands. They will not only learn academic concepts through digital art applications, they will begin preparing for the future.
