Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are creative and intelligent! I am a Kindergarten teacher at a small inner city public elementary school in a high poverty area of Los Angeles. My Title I school students where 100% receive free lunch. We have been greatly affected by the budget cuts to education in California and we are experiencing more budget cuts this year.

My students deserve to have the resources they need to learn at school.

Please help my young students get the resources they need to become successful!

My Project

My young students would use these Scholastic Magazine subscriptions in class to encourage discussions on current events. It would help them develop their speaking ability and confidence. My students would also

take these magazines home to share with their families.

Their parents can use this magazine as a resource to read with their child.

Your generous donations would provide my Kindergarten students with resource to improve their literacy skills at school and at home. These magazines would make a difference in the lives of my students by providing a foundation in literacy that would help them succeed academically in school.
