My Students

My kindergarteners are excited learners. At this lower elementary level there are so many new experiences to be had and it is important to keep my students engaged and eager to learn more.

Inspiring my students with hands-on activities such as the Bee-Bot encourages them to become lifelong learners.

Applying and developing basic coding skills to the Bee-Bot robot encourages all students, regardless of race, gender, or culture, to dive head first into STEAM challenges. English, Spanish, and Mandarin are the different languages spoken by students in my classroom. But with Bee-Bot, there are no language barriers when coding.

We currently have one Bee-Bot that we share at our grade level and every single student loves getting to explore and code with Bee-Bot!

My Project

Bee-Bot provides students with a hands-on and engaging way to develop their beginning coding skills. Reading, math, social studies, and science can all be applied to the different Bee-Bot mats.

Having two Bee-Bots will allow us to challenge each other in teams.

Students will need to work together and communicate to each other to plan out how to get Bee-Bot from its starting point to the desired location. Also, with the various mats, including the clear mat, our class will be able to adjust and use bee-bot for a variety of different lessons and subjects. We can use Bee-Bot for spelling by placing letters under the mat, math fact practice by placing numbers under the mat, and social studies by using the community map mat.
