My Project

My kind class of 4th graders needs a quiet calming corner to go to when they are feeling stressed. The Whatsit couch, beanbag chairs and cushions provide flexible seating options that will help them relax and give them a place to self regulate. Another item that I plan to use is the emotion pillow. This will provide students a way to identify complicated emotions that do come up by looking at the examples depicted on the pillow.

My students social-emotional needs are more important now than ever after COVID, and I want to provide a safe space for them to process their emotions and develop emotional intelligence.
