Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My Pre-K students love coming to school to learn and play with their friends. They think our classroom is perfect. They don't see that if we had a few extra materials, we would be able to do so many more things.

They are happy with what we have, but I want to give them more.

We are the only Pre-K class at our school, and my students are a great bunch of kids. They are just starting out, and they are so excited to come to school every day.

As their teacher, I try to maintain that excitement so that they will always love coming to school. Most of them come from very low-income homes and have never been in school before entering my class.

My Project

Right now I have 12 students learning in person. They are here at school getting the socialization and play that they have been so desperately needing. They can't really play outside at home because of the neighborhood that they live in. Most of their families also can't afford bikes or scooters.

We have a couple of bikes here at the school for them to use, but not enough for everybody.

They fight over who gets to use them, and I want to be able to have one per child. This project would supplement the bikes we currently have and make it so that each child would have something to ride.
