Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing and energetic 4th and 5th graders from different classes, who are eager and passionate to project the morning news to their peers. These students are from diverse cultures and come from low-income households. They have varying abilities and want to learn new techniques to apply them to their daily practice in the studio.

These incredible students have a robust desire to work and create new images by learning innovative techniques on filming and video projects to share with their peers.

News crew can edit and collaborate with team members to compile the different videos to share with all students, staff, and parents. For example, with the existing equipment they make clips to attract the students’ attention to the videos on anti-bullying they either get from the internet or from our county’s websites. Every Thursday they show science clips to address different science benchmarks.

They are undoubtedly getting experience by practicing their management skills. The news crew organizes the program, and directs each team member to do the part they were assigned to make the daily news successful.

My Project

The morning crew will be able to improve their technical skills, communication, creativity, self-expression, and leadership. Cameras will also help the news crew to record special activities like Chorus shows, Student of the Month, STEM and Science Fair Night, as well as other significant events created by teachers for students and parents.

This project will not only benefit the students working on the news, but it will impact all students in school since everyone will be more engaged and motivated as activities are promoted in the morning news.

These cameras are essential to complete the existing equipment for the news crew to project the daily morning announcements to all students and staff.
