Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Kids and nature go well together. Unfortunately, for my of the students in my school, this is not something available to them at home. This is why I want to create a school garden. The students will be able to use the garden area as an outside classroom.

We have amazing students in our school.

They enjoy learning new things and even like to stay at school attending after-school tutoring and clubs. My school is a place that embraces all students, whether they are in your classroom or grade level. We take care of all the kids, because they are all ours.

My Project

The materials I am requesting will be used in our new school garden. Once the garden is established, the students will be responsible for the maintenance of and decision-making for the garden. They will be taking care of all aspects of it. They will also enjoy learning outside and observing the beauty of what they have created as well as the wildlife that will be visiting our garden.

My project will make a difference to all the students in my school.

The garden will provide an environment for hands-on science lessons and also a place where teachers can bring students out for quiet reading time. This garden will bring us closer as a community that will now be teaching our students how and why they need to care for the environment.
