Kidney Table, Whiteboard, Such Great Learning, Oh My!

My Students

The students in my classroom are filled with energy, a love for others, and a passion for learning. Each day when they enter the classroom, they are eager to grow their minds and work towards their future selves.

The children I teach are an inspiration to both myself and those around them.

They deserve the world!

My Project

These materials will make a tremendously positive impact on the way that our classroom family will function throughout the day. They will give me, as the teacher, the opportunity to have small groups of students come to the kidney table to work with them directly on improving a specific skill to best meet them where they are to help them grow. The size and shape of the table will make it not only more comfortable for the students but also allow them each to see modeling and instruction as it is done without the need of leaning over or moving entirely. In addition, they will have plenty of space to work and express themselves, even by writing on the table itself as it is dry erase! The dry erase easel would also be a game-changer, as it would allow both myself to use it at the kidney table if needed OR the students to use it while working with their own group in a station to brainstorm ideas, show their thinking, all without running out of space on a small whiteboard or having to take precious time to erase if done on paper. I envision these items allowing us all to learn more comfortably, creatively, and efficiently!
