My Students

My students are self-motivated to learn anything about everything! They question constantly to seek answers but also question those answers. They form opinions based on new learning and love to look for evidence. They are inspired daily to be better people from their families, friends, classmates, and school. The students in my class are driven to succeed and work hard to be the best that they can be. They are a joy and pleasure to work with and learn from.

My Project

In a nutshell, my students want to exercise! They are asking me for more tools! They have watched the Olympics on television and now are craving to be athletes just like their new role models! My students have spent the last month watching soccer especially, and because of the Olympics, now they have asked to be taught how to play! They watched Brazil win the gold medal and ask me constantly how they can be like the men on that team. They want to learn how to dribble, shoot, and defend goals just like the Olympic teams! They asked specifically for jerseys and nets to get them going. My students have also asked to learn yoga because some have parents that take yoga for exercise and some students at my school have older siblings who know a lot about yoga and the word is spreading. We have made poses on our floor in the classroom and now they have asked for mats, yoga balls, and tools to learn positions and poses; to get in shape and be fit like their parents and siblings. They want to get serious! They have asked how they can be calmer, more flexible, and stronger at the same time. Lastly, they have asked to be taught more games on the yard to play during recess, lunch, and during physical education time. They want tools to help them move that are fun and make them stronger, faster and more fit.
