This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our scholars have a wide variety of educational needs. Due the location of our school, we know it's very hard for their parents to be able to afford to buy them school supplies. However, the reality is that they still need basic things to use in school each day.

Please help us kick off the school year strong as our scholars begin Kindergarten.

As this new school year begins, we want our Kindergarteners to be ready for this adventure without having to burden their parents with the thought of purchasing school supplies. Our students are eager to learn, but without basic supplies, it is hard for them to get their work done.

This project is comprised of items that are basic necessities in the classroom such as tissues and wipes to keep little noses and hands clean, as well as Lysol products to keep common areas and surfaces disinfected. Different types of writing paper help giving them choices and facilitate differentiating instruction. To help them develop a sense of responsibility and independence we would like to put together individual tool kits using the pouches and their own boxes of crayons. The folders would be useful to help them protect and organize their work.

With the support of your generous contributions, we will be able to kick off this school year strong putting basic supplies in the hands of children who need them the most.
