Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students hold a true love for learning! Each of my students deserves to have basic school supplies that most often cannot be provided by their parents.
Families struggle on a daily basis to put food on the table let alone provide basic school supplies for their children.
Despite their hardships, my students come to school eager to learn. Our school is situated within an urban, poverty stricken neighborhood with virtually no resources or funding for basic school supplies.
My Project
Each of the resources will be utilized daily and not wasted in the least bit. They will help in doing classroom projects and doing everyday tasks such as writing an answer on a post-it as a warm-up activity or using note cards for sight words. My students will be fortunate enough to have these supplies in order to learn to their fullest potential without having to waste valuable time searching for markers, folders, and index cards. Additionally, the iGuy protective case will be used to replace an old case on our pad mini that is used daily as a literacy center.
These generous donations will improve my classroom in so many ways.
My students will be given an equal opportunity to be successful and have the markers, folders, and index cards readily available. Having the needed materials to kick off the school year will build their self-esteem so that they are fully ready to learn!
