This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Back to school is always everyone's favorite part of the school year. You get to start fresh in a new classroom, new teacher, new clothes, and new supplies. But WAIT! Our supplies are missing! We need your help because our class can't wait to begin this new school year!

Mrs. Gruffi's Kindergarten class is full of adventure and imagination!

We have 25 students from a high needs, urban area. Our community is full of hard-working families that want the best for their children and their education. Unfortunately, new school supplies aren't always the top priority. No matter what, the students are bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and can't wait to begin each and every day at our school! Our school community doesn't rest until each and every child receives the best education they can get, and every student leaves each day with a BIGGER smile than the one they came to school with.

My Project

The supplies we're requesting create an efficient and successful classroom environment. We are in need of erasers, dry erase markers, composition notebooks, and a bookcase that will make our learning soar. Our Kindergarteners are constantly learning and figuring out the BEST way to express themselves, which means, we make a lot of mistakes! These supplies will help our students learn from their mistakes and become brilliant mathematicians and writers. Mrs. Gruffi also request supplies to help organize and manage the classroom so that she can allow even more time to planning and engaging with the students. We want to make sure that this year's Kindergarten class is off to a GREAT start and that we keep that momentum throughout the entire school year!

Classroom supplies are only part of what makes a successful classroom.

It's how they are used and what they make of them that counts. We want these supplies to kick off our school year so that nothing holds us back from being the best we can be! We hope to show you and the rest of the world just how wonderful a new set of classroom supplies can change a regular Kindergarten class to an AMAZING one!
