My Students

Most of my students will be attending school for the very first time, some will have had a year of Pre-Kindergarten under their belt. They arrive very excited to learn and make friends. We spend a good amount of time talking and learning about each other as it is the beginning of the school year. As the days progress we begin to settle into a flow of the day that includes read alouds, social emotional learning, academic studies and interactive learning with computers and educational games.

My Project

Kindergarten is an incredibly unique grade to teach. In the past, all the supplies were communal and were placed in bins in the middle of a group of tables at the ready when needed. Alot has changed this year and in the coming school year the sharing pencils and crayons, passing folders and papers, is not possible.

I want my students to have easy access to their supplies for smooth transitions between classes, so its important to have the students paper trays filled with their folders and supplies, easily accessible when needed.

Each child will have their own tray for their supplies and assignments.
