This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Can you imagine not being able to keep up with technology? The demand for technology in classrooms continues to rise and my students are not getting the exposure to it that they need.

My students come from low income families.

They are limited English learners and at risk second graders. Many of our students come from impoverished households, and although they know what computers are, they may not have access to technology in their households.

My Project

I am requesting an LCD Projector. This resource will allow me to engage my students in technology rich activities that are both meaningful and exciting. My students will be able to access learning resources, activities, games, and ebooks. An LCD projector would expand the possibilities for learning. The best way to help students learn is to engage them in meaningful instruction and activities. Having a projector in the classroom will allow me to expose my students to the world of technology and digital books in a fun engaging manner. Additionally, this resource will allow me to have access to more instructional materials and resources that will improve classroom instruction and contribute to the educability of all learners.

In today's technological society, it is essential for students to be exposed to technology.

The social economic status of my students makes it almost impossible for them to have technology access in their homes. The only access to technology they will be exposed to will be the one in the classroom.
