This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In order to keep up with technology and expose our students to the latest advances, we need updated technology in the classroom.

If we want to prepare our students for a successful future, we need to expose them to technology, help them become tech savvy and feel comfortable with different technological devices.

The students are very familiar with the use of an iPad and now need to become familiar with a laptop. I am requesting an Apple MacBook Pro to do just that. With the use of the MacBook, the students will become familiar and comfortable in using a laptop as opposed to an iPad.

Another interesting way that this MacBook will be used is to explore technology by pairing it to my projector and conducting lessons on ways to control their emotions. My students are young adults, dealing with hormones, changing bodies, attitudes, and clashing personalities. They often have a difficult time in managing and expressing their emotions. Mental health is such an important area to cover at any age but especially crucial with teenagers. This laptop will help my students explore technology and manage their mental health.
