Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This is my sixth year in Kindergarten at a wonderful school. My students are eager 5-6 years olds, coming from a variety of backgrounds. They love to continually be engaged in the classroom!

My students work hard to achieve their goals.

To keep the learning process exciting, I use a variety of materials. This makes my students excited and curious about learning, and I want to make sure I have these materials to foster their love of learning on a daily basis!

My Project

These materials requested will enrich the classroom and learning environment tremendously. The flexible seating by the computers should help students get excited about going to the computer center to complete iReady lessons, and will incorporate movement into their computer time. Various games and activities make centers exciting and fun for my students. Learning sight words and phonics becomes appealing to a Kindergarten student when presented with enjoyable activities. Colored ink allows me to print bright and colorful centers, posters and games for my students.

Read aloud books give students the opportunity to make a connection between what we are learning, and the story.

Not only can students learn academic material from these storybooks, but character education is incorporated as well.
