My Students

I service students, grades K-5, in a small, urban community in Los Angeles. Many of my students come from low-income households and Distance Learning has been a challenge. Most do not have devices or internet service at home. They have been provided with equipment from the district; however, teachers have not received an updated device to help with Distance Learning.

We need your help so that our class can access their learning without technological problems interfering because of the teacher's lack of updated technology.

We are currently still in Distance Learning, and my students are doing the best they can given the circumstances and the challenges that come with not being together in the physical classroom.

My Project

Who knew we would all of a sudden be faced with a pandemic and learning at home! It has sure been a challenge, but our students and our entire school has been doing the best they can to stay positive, move forward, and most importantly, continue with learning! One issue that has made it difficult to teach is having a second-generation MacBook.

Having a newer generation Macbook will make my the learning and teaching run smoothly with a new device.

There won't be any interruption due to technical issues!

The MacBook I am currently using is just too old. It's time to update to a newer one so that I will not have issues with the computer freezing, lagging, or shutting down on my kids during distance learning.
