Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is located in South Bronx, NY. We have families from the local neighborhood and families from countries like the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Honduras, Yemen and Ghana!
We are an ICT class of motivated and brilliant 3rd graders who are ready to learn and strive to build our social emotional needs as well as grow to be thinkers and problem solvers.
As an ICT class, we have a great range of students who have unique strengths and skills that we need to improve. In our class, we hope to grow together and build each other up to be strong and independent learners.
My Project
Our kids have returned to full time in-person learning this school year. In the classroom, we have been working on our devices, but we have also gone back to working on handwriting and creating student work on paper. It has been quite some time that our kids have used pencil and paper to showcase their brilliant work. We would like to use binders in ELA and in math to collect and organize all of the great pieces of work our kids have produced this school year. By the end of the year, we hope to fill our binders with wonderful writing pieces and drawings!
