My Project

Due to COVID 19 restrictions, my students and I spend much of our time in our classroom together. We do not have anywhere to store, freeze, or make items cold for experiments, and/or store special cold treats to make our days together special! A minifridge would help us do this. A microwave would make our classroom days special but in the opposite way. We will be able to heat up food items or water and complete science experiments when heat is needed!

Having a microwave and mini-fridge allows me to prepare warm, satisfying food options as well as chilled fruit and drinks.

Making sure that students are comfortable and well-fed helps to fuel their desire and ability to learn and helps to improve their emotional well-being. I often provide snacks for students throughout the day, especially for students who arrive too late for breakfast. Providing a cold bottle of water or chilled fruit cup can also provide just the incentive to get a child back on task.

Our classroom would benefit tremendously with these items right there in our room! Please consider donating to our project!
