My Students

Our students need individually packaged snacks to take home so that they have food to eat at home. Many of our students need extra food to go home with them.

In order for our students to be successful they first need to have their physical needs met.

School is a place they count on for consistency and stability. Our whole school receives free breakfast and lunch. This ensures that our students are getting at least two meals a day. This is not a guarantee that they are getting food when they get home.

My Project

Many of them are still hungry after they finish eating breakfast and lunch and are asking for seconds. They also take any extra food home with them to eat. This year I would like to have extra snacks they can take home with them at the the end of the day. As the media specialist there are many kids that will be helped with this project.

If you have ever tried to concentrate on a task when you are hungry you know it is almost impossible.

All the students can think about is how hungry they are or what they are going to eat when they get home. By providing snacks for them to take home with them, they can focus on learning and not about having something to eat. This is at least one less thing that they have to worry about.

Funding this project will help many kids in our school have extra snacks to take home with them at the end of the school day. You will be making a huge difference in the students' lives.
