This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in a low-income, high-mobility school that is Title I. This means all of our children receive free breakfast and lunch during the school day. We have a diverse population and serve children and families from many different cultures.
The students at our school are sweet and crave positive interactions and for someone to show a genuine interest in them.
They are eager to learn new things and love to share what they have learned with others. These students need positive role models in their lives to introduce them to the wonders of the world around them.
My Project
COVID-19 is still as strong as ever as we start the 2021-2022 school year.
It is important to provide a safe and clean classroom for my students as we continue to navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic.
My students need these tabletop dividers to create a barrier between each other while they are eating their breakfast, snack in the classroom, and completing their daily work assignments. The dividers will also give each individual student their own space separate from their classmates. This will help them not get into each other's area and maintain our districts social distancing requirements.
