Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our 6th grade social studies classroom, it is important for me to provide a place in which students are able to learn how to be organized, feel safe and also learn how to keep the areas that they inhabit clean.

I have included snacks into my cart because there are quite a bit of students that come into our rooms each day that have little to no options for lunch and with these snacks, I can offer them something to help them get through the day.

I also included prizes to help encourage students to push themselves in the classroom and hopefully this will continue to support the positive learning environment that I have created. I also included cleaning supplies because I wholeheartedly believe that a clean environment allows students to be more productive. Finally, I included different decor pieces that will foster a space that they feel calm, safe and accepted.

Anything that can be donated to my students and I will be more than appreciated and I know that it will go a long way into supporting my classroom.
