My Students

Our kindergarten is located in a unique and diverse urban setting in northern New Jersey. This community strives to help all learners meet their potential regardless of their backgrounds. We aim to provide a safe place for students to grow through a variety of methods. Our school is brand new this year and houses the kindergarten students from the district. The school is named after a civil right activist and former district teacher.

The district motto, "That each may learn," reflects this goal and is the hallmark of every classroom and building within the district.

Differentiated instruction and individualized instruction are the keys to achieving in our classrooms!

My Project

While the items in our project are not exciting, they are of vital importance for me and my students. I am constantly buying new masks that are comfortable for me and my students and hope that the ones added in this order will be helpful for my class. The sanitizer will be tremendously helpful when we go to lunch and have to sanitize on the go. We are constantly cleaning our hands to help everyone stay safe so having a portable way to sanitize would be so very beneficial. Finally, the scissors will help ensure that every student I teach has their own pair of scissors to use. They currently share scissors, which can be tricky to coordinate, not to mention not as sanitary as having individual pairs for each student.
