Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I recently took a professional development class about designing your classroom space. One of the standout pieces of information that I learned was that visually overwhelming classrooms with lots of colors and excessive decor can be detrimental to student focus and learning. This is what so many elementary classrooms look like, unfortunately!

I want to use research based methods to decorate my classroom in a visually cohesive way with colors that will promote calmness and serenity.

The decorations like bulletin paper and borders requested all follow the same general color scheme. If I can create a consistent, cohesive color and decoration scheme, I will be making my classroom a better place for kids to learn.
