This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a Social Worker in a South Bronx middle school seeking funding for discrete bags for my female students to place their monthly hygiene products.

Dealing and managing a female's monthly "visitor" can be an uncomfortable time both physically and emotionally for young teenagers.

When my female students need personal hygiene products they come to my office and I have supplies readily available for them to take without having to ask. As these students leave my office they stuff the products up their shirt sleeve, in their pockets or up their shirt in order to be discrete during the long walk from my office to the girl's bathroom.

With your donation, I will be able to provide my female students a cute discrete bag for them to place feminine hygiene products in and reduce the social discomfort that they experience during this time.
