My Students

My students are fun loving and eager to learn. They have a lot of energy. The students in my second grade class are part of the gifted and talented program. They have different learning styles and are constantly thinking outside the box. Second graders are such an interesting bunch because they are little more independent and ready to work.

This year will be filled with inquiry minds that are ready to work.

I am hoping to create an environment of love and respect in our classroom.

My Project

Our school is a very old school building. Unfortunately all the classrooms are not equipped for an air conditioner. I want to make sure that the children are comfortable while in our room. We spend time moving around the classroom in small groups and working hard. It is important that the students are not too hot. Each minute of the day is a chance to learn something new. I do not want the children to be uncomfortable and sluggish while trying to focus on class material. If we have fans to help circulate the air it will help keep the temperature of the classroom cool.
