Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I am an occupational therapist and work together with my students with disabilities from Kindergarten through eighth grade to help them improve many of their skills! We work on improving many skills including attention/focusing, following directions, handwriting skills, organizational skills, and life skills. The skills that we work on are the building blocks needed for success in other areas!

Our therapy room gets very hot as there are no windows!

A student's environment directly impacts their learning ability. Therefore, I am requesting portable rechargeable fans so that my students can cool off and be at a comfortable temperature during their therapy sessions!
