My Project

One of my biggest goals each year is to help my students become confident readers and maybe even develop a love for reading. Many of my students come to me as struggling readers. Every year, I am impressed with how hard they are willing to work to fill in those gaps and see how much they grow. This year I teach 25 amazing students, including students receiving special education services, English language learners, as well as gifted learners.

My hope is to provide the students with a safe and fun place to learn!

Over the years, I have worked very hard at providing my students with hands-on learning experiences and making it the very best school year that I can.

This year I have several students who benefit from stuffed animals and weighted items. All of the animals in this project are weighted. This will allow them to hold one on their lap when they need a little extra compression to meet their sensory needs. I would like to try the neck animal to see if that also helps some of our students when they are escalating.
