My Students
You've browsed the classroom library and finally you have found your just right book! It's not too challenging to read, it's interesting, and you can't wait to start reading it. Now the question is, where can you keep this book? My students need a place to store their books.
I teach some amazing young minds.
Our school has a global education focus, which encourages students to learn about other cultures and challenge stereotypes. My students love to read, and one of their favorite times of day is independent reading time.
My Project
With your donations, each student in my classroom will have a seat storage sack on the back of their chair. This will make organization in our room a lot easier. Groups of students sit at tables with no storage space built in. Currently, they have a caddy to keep papers, crayons, and pencils.
Students will use the new seat sacks to keep their pencil, eraser, a folder for unfinished work, and their independent reading book. This will help students keep track of their own work and have a book on their own reading level always at the ready.
Your donations will help my students have increased access to their independent reading books.
The easy access will further encourage students to continue to be enthusiastic readers. It will also help the students to have a better organized classroom!
