Help me give my students the ability to follow along and focus on the details of the lesson by providing my class with a document camera and a writing board.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I Teach kindergarten at an inner city, Title 1 school. Although my students have only met each other through long-distance learning, they have been able to develop a sense of community, caring, and respect for each other. They are eager to learn, focused and dedicated.
My students are very curious learners who have adjusted to school quickly, and are excited about learning, working, and growing together.
Most of my students are English learners, some come from single-parent families and most come from low income households.
My Project
The document reader will be used to project images onto my computer screen from my lesson as I focus on specific skills. My students will be able to follow guided lessons, step-by-step directions, and follow along as I project images of math word problems and other curricula.
Having a document reader will allow me to model the skills and concepts being taught as well as help my students develop a deeper understanding of the lesson.
My kindergarten students will be more likely to succeed having access to a document reader.
