My Students

I have a diverse group of special needs students with the sweetest and kindest personalities. They display the utmost gratitude for whatever little things you do for them. All of my students are from the disadvantaged socioeconomic group; yet they come to school wearing a smile irrespective of the adversities they face daily. I can't remember a time in which I came to work and didn't feel pleased being in service to my students. As a human being, at times you have some down moments and whenever I experience those low moments, which are very few, my students would quickly recognize it and do the cutest things to ensure that they put a smile on my face to lighten up my day.

My Project

My students are in urgent need of winter coats. I have ten special needs students ranging within the age of eighteen to twenty and they do not have the means to buy a winter coat. They all are from improvised families with lots of physiological needs.

The winter season is quickly approaching and I have observed some of my students coming to school in the blistering cold wearing only a long sleeve shirt.

Other students are choosing not to attend school because they lack the basic essential of a coat to wear in the cold.

If I am able to get some winter coats for my students, this will enable them to attend school during the winter months, prevent disruption to their learning process and keep them warm and healthy throughout the blistering cold.
